1/v + 1/u = 1/f

1/v = 1/f - 1/u
      = -1/4 - (-1/9)
      = -1/4 + 1/9
      = -9 + 4/36
      = -5/36

v = 36/-5
   = -7.2 cm

then,
m = -v/u
    = -(-7.2)/-9
    = -0.8
Again,
also,

m = h'/h

-0.8 = h'/2
h' = -1.6 cm

SIZE OF THE IMAGE IS 1.6 CM

Therefore:- the image is formed at a distance of 7.2 cm from the mirror.
that's all
