Answer:

Given,

C = -3 m , i.e., f = -3/2 = -1.5 m

u = -5 m

v = ?

Here, in concave mirror 'u', 'v' and 'f' will be in negative '-' sign.

Explanation:

We know that,

   1/v + 1/u = 1/f

=> 1/v + 1/-5 = 1/-1.5

=> 1/v - 1/5 = 1/-1.5

=> 1/v = 1/-1.5 + 1/5            [doing LCM of 1.5 and 5, we get: LCM=1.5]

=> 1/v = (-1.5 + 0.3) /1.5

=> 1/v = -1.2/1.5                 [diving 1.5 by -1.2, we get: 1.25]

=> 1/v = -1.25

Therefore, v = -1.25 m

Hence, the position of the bus is -1.25 m and nature of the image is virtual and erect.
