A concave mirror forms a virtual image of size

twice that of the object placed at a distance 5 cm

from it. Find (a) the focal length of the mirrror

(b) position of image.

To find the focal length of the miror. first we have to find position of image .
First i have solved position of image then focal length of the miror .

Answer:

Given, m=1/3

since, magnification n is positive

therefore it's virtual image

m=-v/u

1/3=-v/u

1/3u=-v= -1/3u

or u=-3v
