A concave mirror has a focal length of 20cm. Find the position of an object for which the image size is double of the object size ?

20cm*2=40.....
I am not sure that this my ans or not

Satwik07: I got the answer as 30cm but the correct answer given in my book is 10cm....?!

Hi..

Ur answer is
Image can be virtual => m = 2,
v = - 2 u
1/-2u + 1/u = 1/-20
=> u = -10cm
image real, m = -2, v = 2 u
1/2u + 1/u = 1/-20
=> u = -30 cm
