Answer:

Explanation:

r=60cm

a)if u=-90cm

v=?

first,

focal length=R/2

=60/2

=30cm

we know that,

1/f=1/v+1/u

1/v=1/f-1/u

1/v=1/30-1/-90

1/v=1/30+1/90

1/v=3+1/90

1/v=4/90

1/v=2/45

v=45/2

v=22.5cm

b)if u=-20cm

focal length is = 30cm

same method, u get the value of v = 12cm
