A concave mirror is placed in a horizontal table with
its axis directed vertically upwards. Let O be pole
of the mirror and C its centre of curvature. A point
object is placed at C. It has a real image, also
located at C. If the mirror is now filled with water,
the image will be
(1) Real and located at a point between C and o
(2) Real and will remain at C
(3) Real and located at point between C and a
(4) Virtual and located at a point between C and O
explain
the one who will answer will be marked as brainliest.. pls ans asap

Answer:

Your answer is option D I mean (4)

Explanation:

consider the arrangement to be combination of plano convex lens and a concave mirror

let R be radius of curvature

f lens=2/R and f mirror=2/R

first image is formed by lens

1/v−1/u = 1/f

1/v+1/R = 2/R

v = R

now this serves as virtual image for mirror

u = +R

1/v+1/u = 1/f

1/v+1/R = −2/R

v = −R/3

this again serves as virtual image for the lens

u = R/3

1/v-1/u = 1/f

1/v-3/R = 2/R

v = R/5

hence the image is real and formed between O and C

option D is correct

HOPE THIS HELPS YOU
