Answer:

hello

Explanation:

given ,

object distance(u)=8cm

and according to sign convention

u = - 8

now

image distance =?

magnification = -v/u

so we need to find image distance

now

1/f = 1/v + 1/ u

given f = 15cm

1/15 = 1/v + 1/-8

now we get

1/v = 23 /120

= v = 120 /23

magnification= -v / u

- 120/23/-8

next we get 15 / 23 as answer i.e 0.65

the image formed is virtual ,erect and dimished

hope u got it
