object should be placed 0.45m from mirror so as to get its real image on the wall.

focal length of concave mirror, f = -0.3m = -30cm

image distance from the mirror , v = -0.9 m = -90 cm

[ image is formed as real. and we know, in case of concave mirror, image and object are located in same side of mirror if image is real. ]

using mirror formula,

1/u + 1/v = 1/f

⇒1/u + 1/-90 = 1/-30

⇒1/u = -1/30 + 1/90 = -2/90 = 1/-45

⇒u = -45 cm = -0.45 m

object should be placed 0.45m from mirror so as to get its real image on the wall.
