A concave mirror of focal length is 2 m and object is 5 m where the image formed

For concave mirror

f = - 2

u = - 5

Using Magnification formula

 \frac{1}{v} + \frac{1}{u} = \frac{1}{f}

 \frac{1}{v} = \frac{1}{f} - \frac{1}{u}

Now putting the values we get

 \frac{1}{v} = \frac{1}{ - 2} - \frac{1}{( - 5)}

 \frac{1}{v} = \frac{1}{ - 2} + \frac{1}{5}

 \frac{1}{v} = \frac{ - 5 + 2}{10} = \frac{ - 3}{10}

v = \frac{10}{ - 3}

So image formed at v
