A Concave mirror produces a real image of hight 2 cm of an object of height 0.5 cm placed 10 cm away from the mirror. Find the position of the image and focal length of the mirror

height of image = 2cm

height of object =0.5cm

distance of object u = 10cm

to find _ position of image and focal length of mirror

v/u = h2/h1

v/10=2/0.5

v= 2×10/0.5

v=40cm

by using mirror formula

1/f = 1/v+1/u

1/f = 1/40+ 1/10

1/f = 5/40

f=8cm
