Since the image formation by a concave mirror is real and magnified, the formula of magnification is,

m=-3
(Since the image is real)

u=-7 cm
(in front of the mirror)

Applying formula of magnification in a concave mirror, m=-v/u,

Where,

m=magnification by a concave mirror,

u= distance of the object from the mirror

v=distance of the image from the mirror

 m=-v/u, -3=v/-7 v=-3*-7 v=21 cm

   The image formation by a concave mirror is 21 cm in front of the mirror.
