Question

A concavr lens of focal length 15 cm from an image of 10 cm from the lens then how far object is placed from lens? draw ray diagram

Answer: u=30 cm

FORMULA USED:\frac{1}{f}=\frac{1}{v}+\frac{1}{u}

given

Focal length f=15 cm

distance of image,v= -10cm

SOLUTION

we know that

\frac{1}{f}=\frac{1}{v}+\frac{1}{u}

⇒1/-15=1/-10+1/u

⇒-1/u=1/-15+1/10

⇒-1/u=1/30

⇒u=-30

HOPE THIS HELPS U!
