A conductor of given material having length 3 m and area of cross-section 4 mm2 has a resistance of 8 ohm.
What would be the resistance of another conductor of the same material having length 2 m and area of
cross-section 8 mm2?

AS far as anwer is concerned you may take help from here

l= 3m

A=4 x 10^-6 m

now R/R`= (pL/a)/pL`/A`

let R` = x ohm

since material is same therefore p will also be same

now

3/4 x 10^-6/2/8 x 10^-6 =8/x  =\\ 8/x=3 now 3x=8 therore x =8/3 ohm

thats the solution
