we know that,

Vol. Of cy. Is πr2h

And

Vol. Of a cone is 1/3πr2h

Therefore we can conclude that vol. of a cone is one third the volume of a cylinder , give that their height and radius is same .

Therefore , if volume of cylinder is 300 square units , then the volume of the former cone will be

1/3 of 300 , that is 100 square units
