Solution :

  • Base diameter of cone = 14 cm
  • Radius of cone = Diameter/2 = 14/2 = 7 cm
  • Slant height of cone (l) = 25 cm

Using formula of the slant height of cone :

\boxed{\bf{Slant\:height\:(l) = \sqrt{(r)^{2} + (h)^{2} }}}

\longrightarrow\sf{(25 )^{2}= (7)^{2} + (h)^{2} } \\\\\longrightarrow\sf{625=49 + (h)^{2}}\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{(h)^{2} = 625 - 49}\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{(h)^{2} = 576}\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{h=\sqrt{576} }\\\\\longrightarrow\bf{h=24\:cm}

Thus;

The height of cone will be 24 cm .
