Answer :

The area of the cone is 49cm².

Step-by-step explanation :

Given that :

A cone is inscribed in a cubic box with an edge length of 3.

To Find :

The area of the surface of the cone.

Solution :

Diameter of the cone =  3cm.

We have to find the radius first so,

\textbf{\underline{\underline{Remember}}}

Radius is the half of diameter.

So,

Diameter is 3cm

Radius = 3/2 = 1.5 cm.

We have :

Diameter = 3cm.

Radius = 1.5cm.

We know that :

★Area of the cone =   π × r²★      { π = 22/7}     {r² = 1.5× 1.5 = 3 cm.}

Put the values :

22/7 × 3cm = 49cm²

Hence, The area of the cone is 49cm².
