Answer:

679.75 (Approx)

diameter= 14cm

radius =14/2= 7

Slant height(l)=r^2+h^2

l=√49+49

l= √98

l=7√2

C.S.A of cone =πrl

22/7*7*7√2

=154√2

C.S.A of hemisphere= 3πr^2

3*22/7*7

=462

TSA=CSA of cone +CSA of hemisphere

154√2+462

154(1.414)+462

=679.756 (approx)

Answer:

Total surface area = 525.756 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data

A cone and hemisphere has combined diameter

diameter 2r = 14 ⇒ Radius of cone r = 7 cm

                           ⇒ Radius of hemisphere R = 7 cm

height of the cone h = 7 cm

here we need to find total surface area for that we need to find curved surface areas of cone and hemisphere

curved surface area of cone = π r l

here  radius of the cone r = 7 cm

        slant height l = \sqrt{r^{2}+h^{2}  }

                               = \sqrt{7^{2}+7^{2}  }  = \sqrt{2(49)} = 7√2  cm

curved surface area of cone  = \frac{22}{7} (7)(7\sqrt{2} )

                                                = 22(7√2)

                                                = 217.756 cm²

curved surface area of hemisphere = 2 π R²

                                                           = 2(\frac{22}{7} )(7)(7)

                                                           = 308 cm²

total surface area

= curved surface area of cone+curved surface area of hemisphere

=  217.756 cm² + 308 cm² = 525.756 cm²
