Given :

A cone maximum volume is cut out from a 40 cm long wooden cube

To Find :

calculate the volume of the cone .

Solution:

Length of side of cube = 40 cm

A cone maximum volume is cut out from a 40 cm long wooden cube

So, Maximum height of cone = 40 cm

Diameter of cone = 40 cm

Radius of cone =\frac{40}{2}=20 cm

Volume of cone =\frac{1}{3}\pi r^2 h = \frac{1}{3} \times 3.14 \times 20^2 \times 40=16746.66 cm^3

Hence The volume of cone is 16746.66 cubic cm
