Solution:-
Given : Height of cone = 15 cm, Diameter of cone = 7 cm. So, radius = 7/2 = 3.5 cm.
Volume of the cone = 1/3πr*h
⇒ 1/3 × 22/7 × 3.5 × 3.5 × 15
⇒ 4042.5/21
⇒ Volume of the cone = 192.5 cu cm
The diameter of the cone and diameter of the hemisphere are same (Given), so the radius will also be the same. radius of hemisphere is 3.5 cm.
So, volume of the hemisphere = 2/3πr3
⇒ 2/3 × 22/7 × 3.5 × 3.5 × 3.5
⇒ 1886.5/21
= 89.83 cu cm
Therefore,
The volume of the solid formed = Volume of the con e + volume of the hemisphere
⇒ 192.5 + 89.83
volume of the solid formed = 282.33 cu cm
