A cone of height 24 cm has a curved surface area of 550 cm^2 find the volume of the cone.

l^2 = r^2 + 24
l^2 = r^2 + 576
l = √r^2 + 576

csa = 550

πrl = 550

22/7 * r * √r^2 + 576

r√r^2 + 576 = 550* 7/22

r √r^2 + 576 = 25* 7

r^2 (r^2 * 576) = (25* 7)^2

r^4 + 576r^2 - (25^2 * 7^2) = 0

r^4 + 576r^2 - ( 625 * 49 ) = 0

r^4 + 625r^2 - 49r^2 - 625 * 49 = 0

r^2 ( r^2 + 625) - 49 (r^2 + 625) = 0

(r^2 + 625) ( r^2 - 49) = 0

r^2 - 49 = 0

r= 7


volume = 1/3πr^2h

1/3 * 22/7 * (7)^2 * 24

3696 / 3

1232cm^3..
