Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Vol of cone =vol of cylinder

Cancel pi and square [because they are common for both]

H=1/3*24

H=8cm

Given,

The height of the cone Hc= 24cm

To Find,

The height of the cylinder.

Solution,

Given that,

Cone's height Hc = 24cm

The reshaped cylinder has the same radius as the cones.

The volume of cone Vc = \pi r^{2}\frac{h}{3}

The volume of the cylinder Vcy = \pi r^{2} h

Since the cone's and cylinder's volume is the same,

Vc = Vcy

\pi r^{2} \frac{h}{3}  = \pi r^{2} h

Height of the cone  = 24cm

\pi r^{2} \frac{24}{3} = \pi r^{2} h

Cancel \pi and r (radius is same )

Therefore,

h = 24 / 3

h = 8cm

Hence, the cylinder's height is 8cm.
