a cone of maxima size is carved out from a cube of edge 14cm . find the surface area of the remaining solid after the cone is carved out

we need to subtract CSA of cone from TSA of cube to get the surface area of required solid.

Remaining area of solid=tsa of cube-area of circular bease of cone+csa of cone
Since maximum size of cone that can be carved out of a cube have diameter similar to the edge of the cube and height is equal to 14cm
So radius of cone=14/2=7cm

6*14*14 - 22/7*7*7 +22/7*7*√14^2+7^2
1176-154+22*√225
1022+22*15
1022+330
1350cm^2
