Answer:

24 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Given A cone of radius 5 cm is filled with water. if the water is poured in a cylinder of radius 10 cm, the height of the water rises 2 cm, to find the height of the cone

Given radius of cone as 5 cm.

We know that volume of cone is given by

 Volume of cone = 1/3 π r^2 h

                           = 1/3 π 5^2 h

                          = 1/3 π 25 h

Now radius of cylinder is 10 cm, given height of water rises 2 cm, so we can take height of cylinder as 2 cm

Volume of cylinder = π r^2 h

So we can equate volume of cylinder to volume of cone.

So π r^2 h = 25 /3 π h

  π x 10^2 x 2 = 25 / 3 π h

   200 π = 25/3 π h

    h = 600 / 25

   h = 24 cm

The height of the cone is 24 cm
