A conical tank is full of water.Its base radius is 1.75mand height 2.25m.It is connected with a pipe which empties it at the rate of 7L/s.How much time will it take to empty the tank completely?

Given : A conical tank is full of water. its base radius is 1.75 m and height 2.25 m. it is connected with a pipe which empties it at the rate of 7L/s.

To find : volume conical tank, V = πr²h

= 22/7 × (1.75)² × 2.25 m³

= 21.65625 m³

we know, 1 m³ = 1000 L

so volume of conical tank , V = 21656.25 L

now time taken to empty the tank completely = volume/rate

= (21656.25 L)/(7L/s)

= 3093.75 sec

Therefore 3093.75 seconds time will take to empty the tank completely.
