》To find -

Cost of canvas required to make the tent.

》Given -

h = 10 m

r = 24 m

Rate = Rs 750

》Solution -

In order to find the cost of canvas required to make the tent, we need to find the surface area of the cone for which we need to calculate the slant height.

So, the slant height -

\sqrt{Height^{2}+radius^{2}}

\sqrt{10^{2}+24^{2}}

⇒ 26 m

So, the slant height of the cone is 26 m.

Now, total surface area -

\pi r\times slant\:height

\frac{22}{7}\times 24\times 26

1961.14\:m^{2}

So, the total surface area of the cone is 1961.14\:m^{2} .

Now, the cost -

⇒ rate × total surface area

750\times 1961.14

1470855 Rupees.

So, the cost of canvas required to make tent is 1470855 Rupees.

Answer -

Given that the height of cone is 10 m and radius is 24 m.

Slant height = \sqrt{{height}^{2}+{radius}^{2}}

==> \sqrt{{10}^{2}+24^{2}}

==> 26 m

TSA -

==> \pi × r × slant height

==> 22/7 × 24 × 26

Cost -

==> Rate × TSA

==> 22/7 × 24 × 26 × 750

==> 1470855

LEDA: TSA of a cone is pi × r2 × h not pi × r × l , this is the formula of CSA
