A conical tent is 16m high & the diameter of its base is 24 cm. Find the cost of canvas

required to make the tent, if cost of 1m2

canvas is Rs. 210.​

Given that :

Height of conical tent = 16m and Radius = 24/2 = 12 m.

l = √h^2 + r^2 = √16^2 + 12^2

=> l = √256 + 144 = √400 = 20 m.

Here, we have to find the curved surface area first of the conical tent

As we know that :

CSA of cone = πrl

=> CSA of cone = 22/7 × 12 × 20 = 754.28 m^2

As cost of 1 m^2 = Rs. 210

=> Cost of 754.28 m^2 = 754.28 × 210 = Rs. 158,398.8 ≈ Rs. 158,399
