A conical tent that is 14m high and its area of base is 346.5 m^2.This tent is made by 1.5m wide canvas available in market @ Rs.80/m^2. If 23% of the cloth get wasted in cutting or stiching margins etc, so find the length of the cloth bought and also find the total cost of the cloth. no spamming​

We know that , base of cone is circular in shape ,

so, base area = πr²

\pi {r}^{2}  = 346.5 \\  \\  \\  {r}^{2}  = 346.5 \times  \frac{7}{22}  = 110.25 \\  \\ r \:  = 10.5m \:

Now , in making tent with cloth, we need to find is CSA .

CSA of cone = πrl

l = (+)

putting all values we get,

csa =  \frac{22}{7}  \times 10.5 \times  \sqrt{14 ^{2}  +  {10.5}^{2} }  \\  \\ csa = 577.5 {m}^{2}

Now it has been said that 23% cloths wasted in cutting etc .

so, we need 23% more cloth to make tent ..

Total area we need of cloth now =

 \frac{577.5 \times 123}{100}  = 710.325m ^{2}

Now length of cloth = 710.325 ÷ 15 = 47.35 m (Ans)

cost of cloth = 710.325 × 80 = 56826 Rs. (Ans)
