Given :- a conical vessel whose internal depth is 42 cm and internal diameter is 48 cm is full of water .if 1 cubic dm of water weight 1 kg wt then the weight of water in the conical vessel is ?

Solution :-

we know that,

  • Volume of cone = (1/3) * π * (radius)² * height .
  • radius = (diameter/2) .

So,

  • radius of conical vessel = (48/2) = 24 cm.
  • height of conical vessel = 42 cm.

Than,

Volume of conical vessel = (1/3) * π * (24)² * 42

→ Volume = (1/3) * (22/7) * (576 * 42)

→ Volume = (22 * 576 * 42)/ 21

→ Volume = 44 * 576

→ Volume = 25,344 cm³.

Now, we know that,

  • 1000 cm³ = 1dm³ .

Therefore,

1000 cm³ = 1 dm³

→ 1 cm³ = (1/1000) dm³

→ 25344 cm³ = (1/1000) * 25344 = 25.344 dm³.

Now, given that,

→ 1 dm³ weights = 1 kg.

→ 25.344 dm³ weights = 25.344 kg. (Ans.)

Hence, the weight of water in the conical vessel is 25.344 kg.
