Given :-

  • Mass of body = 5 kg
  • Force acted for = 10s
  • initial velocity = 5 m/s
  • Final velocity = 10 m/s

To find :-

  • Force = ?

Solution :-

Firstly finding acceleration

Using the first eq of motion

v = u + at

Where

  • v → final velocity = 10 m/s
  • u → initial velocity = 5 m/s
  • a → acceleration = ?
  • t → time taken change velocity = 10s

Substituting the values we have

→ 10 = 5 + a(10)

→ 10 - 5 = 10a

→ 5 = 10 a

→ a = 5/10 = ½

acceleration = 0.5 m/

Now , finding force acted on the body

F = m × a

Where

  • F → force = ?
  • m → mass = 2 kg
  • a → acceleration = 1/2 m/s²

Substituting the values we have

→ F = 2 × ½

→ Force acted = 1 N

Hence , force acted on the body = 1 N
