First of all let us consider the first two seconds.
F=20 N
t=2 s
m=2kg
u=0 m/s
F=ma
20=2×a
Therefore acceleration a=10 m/s²
From equations of motion, we know that
s=ut+(at²)/2
s=0+(10×2²)/2
s=10×2=20m
Distance travelled in first 2 seconds= 20 metres
v=u+at=0+10(2)=20 m/s
After 2 seconds, it will move with uniform speed as no force is acting on the body.
s=vt=20(1)=20 metres
Therefore total distance=20+20=40 metres
F=20 N
