answer : 2 sec

explanation : according to Newton's 2nd law,

force is the product of mass and acceleration.

so, F = ma

here, F = 50N , m = 10kg

so, 50 = 10a => a = 5 m/s²

given, initial velocity of body, u = 10m/s

final velocity of body, v = 0 m/s [ because, finally body comes to rest ]

acceleration, a = -5 m/s² [ actually force acts against the motion so, acceleration will be negative ]

use formula, v = u + at

or, 0 = 10 - 5t

or, t = 2s

hence, body will take 2 sec to come to rest.
