A constant retarding force of 100 N is applied to a body of mass 60 Kg moving initially with a sped of 5 m/s . What is the change in Momentum of the body when the body comes to a halt? *​

momentum(p) = mass(m) . velocity(v)

so

p= 60X5

=300

or 300 N-S

since the time for which the retarding force is applied is not given, the body will come to rest and the final momentum is zero.

we know that retarding impact force =rate of change of momentum
