Akai company was founded in 1929 in Japan by Masukichi Akai and his son Saburo Akai. It is now Headquartered in Singapore. Akai was at its peak in late 1990s and had annual income of US$5.2 billion but it collapsed in 2000. It produces hi-fi electronic equipments.
