Explanation:

Heat loss by object iron nail = heat gained by water

Let m1= 200g iron nail, t1=50°c

m2= 200g water,t2= 30°c

Q1 = heat of nails, Q2=heat of water

Q1=Q2

m1 × c of nails × ∆t1 = m2 × c of water × ∆t2

200 × 0.12 × (50-t) = 200 × 1 × (t-30)

0.12 × (50-t) = t-30

6-0.12t = t - 30

6+30 = t +0.12t

36 = 1.12t

t=32.14°c

the final temperature of the water is 32.14°c
