The work done is 831 Joule.

Given-

  • Moles of gas = 1 mol
  • Initial temperature = 27 °C
  • Pressure = 1 atm
  • Final temperature = 127 °C
  • Cp for the gas is = 7.03 cal/mol K

We know that at constant pressure work done is given by-

W = PΔV = nRΔT where n is the number of moles, R is the universal gas constant and ΔT is the change in temperature.

By substituting the values we get

W = 1 × 8.31 × (127-27)

W = 1 × 8.31 × 100

W = 831 Joule
