Let the whole lawn be= 1

Therefore if 1-⅔=⅓

The remaining lawn is ⅓

Therefore ⅔=8/3

⅓=x

Cross multiply and ⅔x=8/9

18x=24 ,x=4/3

Therefore to spray the total lawn u add 2⅔ + 4/3 = 4 liters (and)
