Correct Answer:

D) 56

Description for Correct answer:

Given, M1 = 120, M2 = 120-x,

D1 = 64, D2

W1 = 23 and W2=13

According to the formula,

M1D1W1= M2D2W2

=> 120×642/3=(120−x)×601/3

=> 120×642×60=(120-x)

=> (120-x)=64

x=120-64=56

Now, 56 men can be discharged to finish the work in time.
