10 days of working, 3 km of canal have been completed. How many men must now be employed to finish the
work on time?

TO BUILD 1 KM IN 1 DAY MEN REQ= MEN EMPLOYx DAYS/LENGTH OF CANAL BUILT

                                = 80x10/3

MEN REQ TO BUILD EXTRA 9 KM = TO BUILD 1 KM IN 1 DAY MENx LENGTH REM/DAYS REMAINING

                                                            = 800x 9/20x3

                                                             = 120

NO OF MORE MEN NEED TO BE EMPLOYED = 120-80 = 40
