Given data :-

→ A contractor undertook a contract to complete a part of a stadium in 9 months with a team of 560 persons.

→ Later on, it was required to complete the job in 5 months.

Solution:-

Here, 560 persons complete contract of stadius in 9 months.

Let, x persons complete their contract of stadium in 5 months.

According to assumption equation become,

→ 5x = 9 × 560

→ 5x = 5040

→ x = 5040/5

→ x = 1008 persons

Hence, 1008 persons complete their work in 5 months.

Now, to find extra persons needed in contract.

Extra persons = {1008 - 560}

Extra persons = 448

Hence,448 persons extra needed to complete their work in 5 months.

Answer:

448

Step-by-step explanation:

Given, a part of the stadium can completed by 560 persons in 9 months.

Hence, in 1 month, the work can be completed by

9

×

560

=

5040

persons.

So, in 5 months, the work can be completed by

5040

5
