43 th of the work is completed by 60 men in 60 days
43 of the work is completed by 1 man in (60 x 60) days
∴ The whole work will be completed 1 man in (60×60× 34) days
Let the number of men who can complete the remaining
41of the work in remaining 30 days be x.
Then,
41th of the work will be completed by x men in 30 days.
41th of the work will be completed by 1 man in (30x) days
∴ The work will be completed by 1 man in (X x 30 x 4) days
∴60×60× 34
=x×30×4⇒x=40
∴ Number of men who can be discharged =60−40=20
