Power of the lens is the reciprocal of the focal length of the lens.
We have,
f= - 50 CM = - 0.5M
So, power of the lens is
= - 1 /f
= - 1/ 0.5
= - 10/5
= - 2 D
Hence, the power of the lens be - 2 dipotre.
