A convex lens has a focal length of 25 cm . Calculate the distance of the object from the lens of the image is to be formed on the opposite side of the lens at a distance of 75 cm from the lens . What will be the nature of the image ?​

By using lens formula, we get

-1/u= 1/f-1/v

-1/u=1/25-1/75

-1/u=(3-1)/75 [ by taking LCM of 25&75]

u=-37.5cm

since the image is formed behind the mirror, therefore it is virtual and erect.
