a convex lens of focal length 20cm can produced a magnified virtual as well as real image. Is this a corrct statement ?If yes,where shall the object be placed in each case for obtaining these images?

No the statement is absolutely wrong. We can determine the images magnification or size by the distance of the object from the lence .
I T is also determine by the focal length. smaller the focal length the image will be large , larger the focal length smaller the image.But the formed image is always vertua . Because the convex lence diverges the ray.
