No the statement is absolutely wrong. We can determine the images magnification or size by the distance of the object from the lence .
I T is also determine by the focal length. smaller the focal length the image will be large , larger the focal length smaller the image.But the formed image is always vertua . Because the convex lence diverges the ray.
