▶A convex mirror forms an erect image of an object of size one-third the size of object. If radius of curvature of concave mirror is 36 cm, find the position of image.​

Magnification = 3

R = 36 cm

f = R/2 = 36/2

f = 18 cm

Magnification = -v/u

-v/u = 3

u = -3v ..(1)

1/f = 1/u + 1/v

1/18 = 1/(-3v) + 1/v

1/18 = (1 + -3)/-3v

1/18 = -2/-3v

1/18 = 2/3v

v = 12 cm

u = -3v

u = -3(12)

u = -36 cm
