A convex mirror has its radius of curvature 20cm.find the position of the image of an object placed at a distance of 12cm from the mirror

Answer:

R = 20

we know that R = 2f

so f=R/2

= 10cm

u = -12cm

so, by using mirror formula....

1/f = 1/u + 1/v

1/10=-1/12+1/v

1/v = 1/10+1/12

1/v =11/60cm

v = 60/11cm..........(A)

here v represents position of the image from the mirror

u represents position of the object from the mirror and f represents focal length.
