Given, u=-6cm, f=+12cm

Given, u=-6cm, f=+12cmto be find out, v=?,

Given, u=-6cm, f=+12cmto be find out, v=?,Using mirror formula

Given, u=-6cm, f=+12cmto be find out, v=?,Using mirror formula1/v = 1/f - 1/u

Given, u=-6cm, f=+12cmto be find out, v=?,Using mirror formula1/v = 1/f - 1/u1/v = 1/12 - 1/-6

Given, u=-6cm, f=+12cmto be find out, v=?,Using mirror formula1/v = 1/f - 1/u1/v = 1/12 - 1/-61/v =1/4

Given, u=-6cm, f=+12cmto be find out, v=?,Using mirror formula1/v = 1/f - 1/u1/v = 1/12 - 1/-61/v =1/4V=4 cm behind the mirror

Given, u=-6cm, f=+12cmto be find out, v=?,Using mirror formula1/v = 1/f - 1/u1/v = 1/12 - 1/-61/v =1/4V=4 cm behind the mirrorSo, the nature of the image is Virtual.

Answer:

in \: convex \: mirror \: focal \: length \: is \: positive \\ image \: distance \: is \: also \: positive

so \:  \frac{1}{f}  =  \frac{1}{u}  +  \frac{1}{v}

f = 9cm \: and \: v = image \: distane = 6cm

 \frac{1}{9 }  =  \frac{1}{u}  +  \frac{1}{6}  \\

 \frac{1}{u}  =  \ \frac{ - 1}{18}

so \: object \: distance \: is \:  - 18cm

here '-' indicates that direction of object.
