Explanation:

radius of curvature R=+1m

object distance. u = -10m

image distance v= ?

height of the image h= ?

focal length f = R/2= +1m/2 = 0.5 (as the principal focus of a convex mirror is behind the mirror)

since l/v +1/u =1/ f

or. 1/v _1/u =1/f

= +1/0.50- 1/(-10.00)

=1/0.5 + 1/10.00)

= 10 +0.5/5

v=+5/4 = 1.25m

the image is 1.25m at the back of the mirror

magnification m =h'/h= -h'/h

= -1.25m/-10m

=+0.125

the image is virtual erect and smaller in size by a factor of 0.23
