Mirror formula:
Formula of magnification of a mirror:
Here,
v is the distance of the image and u is the distance of the object from the mirror.
Solution:
u = 5m
r = 3m
f = r/2
f = 3/2
f = 1.5m
Now in the mirror formula:
v = 1.15m
Magnification:
Therefore, the size of the image on the convex mirror will be 0.23 times more than the bus (object).
The image formed will be:
- Erect
- Diminished
