object distance (u)= -5m (always negative) radius of curvature C = 3m focal length = 3/2 = 1.5m.

with formula we know that,

1/v +1/u = 1/f

1/ v1/1.5-1/-5

1/v = -5 -1.5/-7.5

1/v-6.5/-7.5

v = 1.15m

we must find magnification,

m= -v/u

= -1.15/-5

=0.23

the image is formed on the opposite side of the object.so it will be virtual and erect. and 0.23 is very small where the object is

placed beyond C.

so the image is virtual,diminished and erect.
