Radius of curvature also known as 2f is twice of focal length.

➵ f = ½ × C

➵ f = 3.5/2

➵ f = 35/20

f = 7/4

[NOTE : The rear view mirror is convex mirror]

Mirror Formula

➵ 1/f = 1/v + 1/u

➵ 1/(7/4) = 1/v + 1/(- 10)

➵ 4/7 + 1/10 = 1/v

➵ (40 + 7)/70 = 1/v

➵ 47/70 = 1/v

v = 70/47 or + 1.5 m (approx)

______________________________

Size

➵ m = - v/u

➵ m = - 1.5/- 10

m = + 0.15

Image is diminished.

Nature

The image is virtual [Due to "+" sign in "m"]

Position

1.5 m behind mirror.
